About Shuddhabha
In 1996, I qualified as a Shiatsu practitioner with the Shiatsu College in Norwich, where I trained with Clifford Andrews. In the same year, I moved to Manchester to join the Bodywise team and set up our natural health centre. It is a real delight to be working with the same people after all this time and to still love treating clients with Shiatsu.
At Bodywise I work in general practice. I treat men, women and children with a wide range of conditions, physically and emotionally based. A lot of my work addresses chronic conditions and skeletal work.
It’s amazing to finally give Shiatsu to a baby I first met in the womb. I also run birth preparation sessions for women and their birth partners. Giving birth is such a big thing and everyone is different, so I work in individual sessions guided by the clients. I teach practical hands-on techniques and supportive physical contact. The aim is to make the birth a good, safe experience for everyone.
In 2006 I began my Shiatsu teacher training and currently teach midwives and Shiatsu practitioners hands-on maternity care, as one of the Well Mother School of teachers. If you would like more information about this, please get in touch.
