Martin Lewis (Vajranistha)
Please Note
I work Saturdays only in person here at Bodywise.
Online or phone appointments can be made through the week (see below).
I am also an ordained Buddhist- Vajranistha- and have been practising for 20 years. As life can be stressful, I can also introduce simple mindfulness techniques to help with stress and calming the nervous system. On a personal level, I enjoy poetry, creative writing, walking and birdwatching.
Professional experience
As a qualified counsellor, I have had successful experience of helping individuals in various settings. Examples of issues worked with are: anxiety, depression, bereavement and trauma. However, you may just be feeling a vague sense of loss or lack of confidence which we could explore. In my previous work, I have been a qualified social worker and a secondary school teacher. I’m a passionate believer in working closely with individuals and communities to help improve well-being.
Regarding ethical practise, I regularly receive supervision and I’m a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
