Yin Yoga is a slow-paced, meditative practice that focuses on holding asanas (poses) for longer periods of time, allowing the body to relax deeply and access the connective tissues such as fascia, ligaments, and joints. Rooted in the principles of Chinese medicine, Yin Yoga works with the concept of Yin and Yang — two energies that must be balanced for us to experience harmony in body, mind, and spirit. While Yang represents activity, heat, and movement, Yin embodies stillness, coolness, and introspection. By engaging in Yin Yoga, we invite this quieter energy into our lives, helping to restore balance physically, mentally and spiritually.

Suzie’s classes focus on the breath and its regulation whilst holding poses. You can expect to begin the practice with some meditation and breath-work before holding a mixture around 6 poses over the course of an hour, working with meridian lines and ending in yoga nidra and rest.

Suzie is a trauma informed teacher who aims to provide a safe space to experience whatever feelings may arise from the practice.
