Thai Yoga Massage
Thai massage is an ancient system of bodywork with its origins in India. It can be described as ‘lazy yoga’ as the receiver is rocked, held, encouraged into assisted yoga stretches. The breath, mindful awareness and the application of loving kindness are the main ingredients.
The practitioner uses hands, feet, forearms, knees to palm, thumb and work the energy lines or meridians. Working with the energy lines promotes the flow of Qi/Prana (or life force), restoring balance to body, mind and spirit.
Thai massage is a holistic therapy that improves overall wellbeing as well as specific conditions such as:
- Headaches / migraines
- Muscular tension
- Lower back pain
- Digestive disorders
Often a deep sense of peace is experienced after a treatment.
